Fastbreak Basketball delivers engaging, age-appropriate basketball sessions for primary school children aged 6–11, designed to help children enjoy being active, build confidence, and develop fundamental movement skills.
We offer flexible basketball programmes that can be tailored to meet the needs of your school, including:
Curriculum PE basketball sessions
Lunchtime activity sessions
After-school basketball clubs
One-off enrichment days or short coaching blocks
All sessions are inclusive and suitable for children of all abilities, including complete beginners.
Our school sessions focus on fun, participation, and confidence-building. Sessions are delivered using a games-based approach that keeps children active, engaged, and motivated.
Sessions are designed for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils (ages 6–11).
Our delivery is consistent with the principles of Basketball England’s Slam Jam programme, which is designed to get school-aged children active and engaged through basketball in a fun, inclusive, and accessible way.
In line with Basketball England guidance, our sessions:
Prioritise enjoyment and participation over competition
Use simple, age-appropriate activities and games
Encourage all children to be involved, regardless of experience
Support positive behaviour, teamwork, and confidence
This ensures our sessions align with nationally recognised best practice for introducing basketball in schools.
Our basketball sessions help children to:
Improve coordination, balance, and fundamental movement skills
Build confidence and self-esteem in PE and physical activity
Develop teamwork, communication, and respect for others
Engage positively in structured physical activity
These outcomes support both physical development and wider wellbeing.
The safety and wellbeing of children are central to everything we do.
All sessions are delivered by qualified, DBS-checked coaches
We follow best-practice safeguarding procedures
